COMPARE

Time trackers stop at the report. The month does not.

Take the logged hour all the way to cost, margin, month close and billing — with rules you set per company, per proposal and per project. Your rules, not ours.

From R$9.00 per licence/month, minimum R$90.00 · parameters set per company, proposal and project

THE PROBLEM

Tracking the hour starts the month. It doesn't finish it.

The hour is logged. The questions that decide the month are still open — and a spreadsheet usually ends up answering them.

What did that hour actually cost?
The report shows how many hours. The cost depends on salary, payroll charges and the role of whoever worked — and it changes when the role changes.
How much of the contract is already used up?
Summed hours don't say how much of the signed proposal is left, or whether what's left covers what still has to be delivered.
Is this contract actually profitable?
Margin only appears when someone crosses cost and price, contract by contract. If that's a spreadsheet, the answer arrives after the month is over.
What goes into this month's billing?
Not every logged hour is billable, and not every billable hour was approved. Telling the two apart is manual work in most tools.
How do you close a month and keep it closed?
Closing means freezing quantity, price and the rule in force. Without that, renegotiating in October rewrites August — and the report already sent to accounting stops matching.
And when someone edits August in October?
With no lock and no audit trail, the change goes through. With them, the closed month holds and whoever touched it is on record.
WHERE THE LINE ENDS

Both tools start the same. They end in different places.

Time-tracking tools handle logging and reporting well. Nimbos carries on from there, all the way to the figure on the invoice.

Time tracker

The hour becomes a report

  1. Hour worked
  2. Report

From the report onward, the path to month close is usually export, spreadsheet and manual checking.

Nimbos

The hour becomes a closed month

  1. Hour worked
  2. Clock-in checked day by day
  3. Logged against a project
  4. Cost per hour and per person
  5. Contract and proposal
  6. Contract margin
  7. Month close
  8. Billing

Every step takes your parameters: the overtime rule, the hour-bank cycle, the rate per role, what gets billed and what doesn't.

CLOCK × PROJECT

The clock says one thing. The project says another.

Nimbos checks both, day by day, and shows where they don't meet. It isn't about watching anyone — it's about finding the hour that never reached a project, before the month closes.

Clocked
8h48

What the clock recorded that day.

Logged
7h32

What was logged against a project.

Gap
1h16

Hours worked that no contract received.

Holidays, time off and the day that hasn't closed yet stay out of the count — otherwise the screen would flag a gap where there is none.

WORKING TIME

Overtime and hour bank by your operation's rules.

The bands, the premiums and the bank cycle are parameters, not our code. Your company sets them, in line with the rules agreed with your team.

OVERTIME

Calculated, not estimated

  • Bands by number of hours, set by you.
  • Weekend, holiday and night premiums — each with its own factor.
  • Holidays and shutdowns come from your company's calendar.
HOUR BANK

Cycle, balance and time off

  • Cycle you define, with a balance that rolls into the next period.
  • Different factors for working and non-working days.
  • Statement per person, with a recorded acceptance.
COST AND MARGIN

Knowing how many hours isn't enough. You need to know what they cost.

In Nimbos the margin is born with the hour: every entry carries the cost of whoever worked and the rate agreed for that role on that project.

  • Cost per hour and per person, with history — a role change doesn't rewrite the past.
  • Rate per role inside the project, negotiated contract by contract.
  • The margin shows during the month, not in next month's report.

When you bill, the rate and cost used are stamped: renegotiating in October doesn't change what August already charged.

THREE LEVELS

Don't fit your operation to the system.

Each level inherits the rules above it and may disagree with them. Where you set nothing, what came from above applies — customising is a choice, not a chore.

Company
The house rules

Working time, overtime, hour bank, calendar, access profiles and what each person sees. The default that holds when nobody said otherwise.

Proposal
The terms of what was sold

Price, what's in and what's out, whether overtime is billed and at what rate. Two proposals from the same client can charge differently — and they do.

Project
Who delivers, and at what rate

Team, rate per role, budget in hours and in value, who approves the month. What's specific to that job stays there, without spilling over.

One platform, different operations: the same Nimbos serves companies whose month-end looks nothing alike.

MONTH CLOSE

The month where operational data becomes a financial number.

Five steps, in this order, and none skips the one before. It's what keeps the report sent to accounting still matching in December.

  1. Calculation
  2. Checking
  3. Approval
  4. Close
  5. Billing

Closing FREEZES quantity, price and the rule in force that month. Reopening is possible and is recorded — what doesn't happen is the past changing on its own.

Client dashboard

Your client sees where their hours went.

One dashboard per client, built from a template and tuned client by client — changing one leaves the others untouched. It leaves the screen as HTML or a spreadsheet, ready to attach to the month-end email.

  • Per CLIENT, not one report for everyone: the template is the starting point, and each client carries its own adjustments.
  • Customisable on screen — axis, metric and type of each block — and what you lay out is what the document carries.
  • People's names and money are OFF by default in what leaves the company: whoever sends decides what to show once, not on every send.

It reads the SAME entries that become the invoice — not a separate report, assembled later, born able to disagree with the close.

How to read this table — and the sources

“Not stated” means the vendor’s pricing or features page did not list the item on the date we read it. We are NOT claiming the tool cannot do it — only that it was not written there. Pricing and per-plan feature distribution change without notice; the date above is our last check.

The matrix above compares breadth. Here the comparison is line by line, with the official source for every claim at the foot of the table. The list grows as the source research for each vendor is finished — no comparison ships without it.

Nimbos × Clockify

Logs hours very well, and the free plan covers up to 5 people. Every feature beyond logging starts on a different plan.

See Nimbos × Clockify

Nimbos × Toggl Track

Excellent logging and a stated anti-surveillance stance. Billable rates start on Starter; cost, profitability and approvals on Premium.

See Nimbos × Toggl Track

Nimbos × Harvest

Invoices on every plan, the free one included. Profitability and timesheet approval sit on Enterprise.

See Nimbos × Harvest

Nimbos × Runrun.it

Brazilian workflow manager: Kanban, automations, forms and SLAs. Free up to 5 people; Business at US$ 10.

Nimbos e Pontomais

Attendance specialist: Portaria 671, signed mirror, payroll integrated. Not a competitor — the other side of the reconciliation.

Price

What it costs

Nimbos starts at R$9.00 per license/month, with a minimum invoice of R$90.00. No commitment: R$20.00 per license/month, cancel any time. Every module is in the price: no feature depends on moving up a plan.

  • R$9.00 per license/month on the annual plan, with a minimum invoice of R$90.00.
  • Attendance, time entries, cost, margin, month-end close and billing are all in the price. There is no module to buy later.
  • No commitment: R$20.00 per license/month, cancel any time.

The price is per seat, not per login: it counts every person whose hours exist in Nimbos, including those who never sign in. If someone imports the hours of ten others, that is eleven seats — the importer's and the ten imported.

In the matrix above, look at WHICH plan each feature starts on: attendance, overtime and margin rarely live on the same one. Anyone who needs all three usually does not stay on the cheapest plan — and each vendor's arithmetic is on its own page, with the source at the foot.

Questions

What people ask before switching

Does Nimbos replace my time-tracking tool?
It covers time tracking and keeps going past it — attendance, cost, margin, month-end close and billing. Anyone using today's tool only to log hours finds the same logging here; anyone who needs what comes after it stops adding up spreadsheets.
Do I have to replace my time clock?
No. Nimbos reconciles what the clock recorded against what was logged, and the attendance source comes in through an integration or an import — today there is a ready integration with Apponte.
Where does my data live?
In Brazil, in São Paulo. Each company is an isolated space, with the separation enforced by the database itself, not just by the screen.
Can I try it without a credit card?
Yes: 30 days with everything unlocked, no card. After that the account freezes into read-only — you still see everything you recorded, and nothing is deleted.
What about the history I already have?
It comes along when the source tool publishes an API with the detailed report. Nimbos brings it month by month, creating the missing projects and people, and syncing the same month again does not duplicate anything. Each tool's path is on its own comparison page.
And if I want to leave later?
The CSV export uses the same columns as Clockify's — a frozen contract here precisely so your history is not locked to us.
Are the overtime rules mine or yours?
Yours. The hour-bank rule comes from your union's collective agreement, and what the client is charged comes from the proposal. They are two separate rulers on purpose: renegotiating a contract does not touch anyone's payslip.
How many people does it handle?
There is no cap. The minimum invoice is R$90.00, and from there you pay per license — someone who only clocks in and never logs hours fits too, without turning into a discrepancy at close.
