About Nimbos

Project-based time tracking, from the entry to the invoice line.

What it is

Nimbos is a project-based time tracking system. Every logged hour carries its client, contract, cost and billing rate — and that is what makes contract margin readable while the month is still running, instead of weeks after it closes. It serves both contractors and salaried staff, with overtime and hour-bank balances computed under the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Why it exists

The time tracker we used logged the hour and stopped there: it did not compute overtime, knew nothing about hour banks, and had no idea what margin each contract produced. Everything else happened in a spreadsheet, every month, by hand.

Nimbos is what was missing after the hour was logged.

What it does

  • Time logging per project, client and activity, with overtime recorded separately.
  • Contract margin during the month, because cost and billing rate travel with the hour from the first entry.
  • Overtime and hour-bank calculation under the collective agreement, and reconciliation of logged hours against time-clock records.
  • Two kinds of overtime on separate rules: the one a client is billed for follows the contract, the one a person accrues follows the agreement. Nimbos never ties one to the other.
  • History export in the Clockify CSV format, and history import for companies coming from it.

What it does not do

There are no screenshots, no location tracking and no kiosk lockdown. This is not a feature that has yet to be built: surveillance of the people who work is out of the product by design, and stays out.

There is also no start/stop stopwatch — what gets recorded is the hour worked, not screen time. And Nimbos does not run payroll: it computes overtime and hour-bank balances, which is a different thing.

Who operates it

Nimbos is operated by Gpk4 Tecnologia e Assessoria Empresarial LTDA (CNPJ 13.283.769/0001-06). It is a multi-company system: each client company's data is isolated from the others', stored in Brazil (sa-east-1 region), under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law.

The Privacy Policy lists, in a table and in three languages, every supplier that receives data by construction of the system.
